The secret to growing our influence for Christ?

tldr; Increasing our personal gravity & reducing the distance between ourselves through the choice of Medium (how we communicate to others)

Creating Gravity Around Ourselves

The Force of Gravity or the attraction between to physical bodies can be calculated thus:

F = (G * m1 * m2) / d^2

Where G is the gravitational constant which we cannot change. m1 and m2 are the masses of the bodies.

and d is the distance between them.

– So, there are three ways WE can change the attraction force WE have on others:

1) We can work on ourselves to increase OUR mass (value density). Self-development.

I think part of this is solely from tapping into the divine (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit) to increase our value density. Then we can transfer some of that mass/value to others through our actions. Thus, increasing the value we bring to others.

2) We can convey/transfer OUR value to OTHERS to help THEM increase their mass. Our communications & actions.

3) Notice how important the distance is in the attractive force of gravity?

The distance between the bodies is squared. So, it is very important to reduce the distance between ourselves and those we are witnessing to.

Think of it like the distance between two of us is 10 feet. Then the values in the formula above…the ones on the top of the equation are divided by 100. Suppose the distance were half as much, or 5 feet. It would be only 25.

So, essentially, if we cut the distance between ourselves with others in half, we quadruple the attraction force between us.

Bottom line: To increase our attraction force to our audience, we must 1) work on ourselves to make ourselves more valuable 2) transfer to our audience (effectively) the value we have AND make them absorb it so their value increases & 3) make sure we are as close as we can be to them (in the best position or most effective medium to transfer that value).

Thought on #3: what brings us closer to our audiences? Written word, spoken word (audio only), spoken in person (video – amplifying connection), in person at distance, in person face-to-face. Reducing communication distance greatly increases our effectiveness of value transfer & increase greatly our attractive force (gravity).

I believe the better the emotional, spiritual, physical connection we have with our audience the higher the mass/value transfer will be and so we will become a larger ATTRACTIVE FORCE (gravity) on them.
